Key Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in product quality related to rejections from customers and internal yields
- Track and close quality issues in the manufacturing line and returns from customers
- Interface with Supplier Quality on supplier-related defects
- Work with suppliers on RMA/RTV (Return Material Authorization/Return to Vendor)
- Drive root cause analysis against part quality issues
- Ensure compliance through Validation and Verification (V&V) activities
- Maintain compliance with quality management systems and EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) in all activities
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action
- Coordinate equipment calibration activities with calibration agencies
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), release them, and train production line operators
- Perform root cause analysis against quality issues using the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process
- Define incoming acceptance plans for parts
- Engage with customers to drive product quality improvement actions
- Work on Lean initiatives and Kaizen implementation
- Attend line breakdowns and drive fixes to minimize production downtime
- Work with equipment manufacturers to establish preventive controls and maintenance
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
