🧑💻 Role Overview – Associate System Engineer IBM
As an Associate System Engineer at IBM, you will work as an Application Developer specializing in Java and Web Technologies. You will design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade applications while working closely with global teams and clients.
You will be part of IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where IBM delivers deep technical and industry expertise to public and private sector clients worldwide. These centers focus on innovation, cloud adoption, and AI-driven transformation.
🔹 Your Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support applications using Java/JEE technology stack
- Work with Java frameworks and web technologies such as Ruby or Groovy
- Implement transaction management and manage Java objects
- Apply modern development practices, including:
- Dependency Injection & Inversion of Control
- Aspect-Oriented & Functional Programming
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Data access & transaction frameworks
- Batch processing concepts
- Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools for efficient development and deployment
- Integrate enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
